The Associates

Daniel Amadei, Principal, Manager and Museum Designer

Extensive expertise in developing strong management structures adapted to museum activities and non-profit heritage organizations based on thirty years of leadership in the museum field.

Trained as a designer Daniel Amadei has led and collaborated with different types of museum professionals while gathering years of hand-on managerial experience, particularly as Director of Exhibitions and Installations at the National Gallery of Canada.

Member of various national and international institutions, he collaborates in the organization of large exhibitions of the best collections and national treasures including Corot 1796-1875 – Egyptomania: Egypt in Western Art – Daumier, 1808-1879 – Renoir Landscapes, 1865-1883 – Van Gogh's Irises: Masterpiece in Focus – Picasso: Masterworks from the Museum of Modern Art – The Group of Seven – Gustav Klimt, Modernism in the Making – Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo and the Renaissance in Florence.

The main partners in the organization of these exhibitions were the National Gallery of Art in Washington, the Louvre, the Musée d’Orsay, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Museo de Arte Moderno in Mexico, the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna, the Yanhuang Art Museum in Beijing, le Musée d’art moderne de Paris, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Art Institute of Chicago et The National Gallery in London.

Alan Todd, Senior Associate, Museum Designer

Extensive experience in museum, exhibition and graphic design.

Before leading the National Gallery of Canada design team, he directed a series of successful projects including the Dinosaur Hall at the Canadian Museum of Nature, the Bank of Canada Currency Museum as well as many International Trade Exhibitions for the Canadian Government Exhibition Commission. Recently, he has directed the design of two important art museum projects: Leonardo da Vinci: The Mechanics of Man as well as Vermeer, Rembrandt and the Golden Age of Dutch Art Masterpieces, both at the Vancouver Art Gallery.

A Team

The team includes exhibition designers, graphic designers and project managers. We also maintain close relationships with a vast network of professionals: historians, curators, conservators, archivists, editors and translators.
