MPMJC, a unique concept in Canada

In June 2012, THE MUSEUM OF THE PRIME MINISTER JEAN CHRÉTIEN, Canada in the world was inaugurated.

Built around a beautiful collection of protocol gifts, this new museum offers visitors a look at Canada's influence in the world. The symbolic objects introduce the visitor to the historic fabric of Canadian foreign affairs activity between 1993-2003.

MPMJC

For over a decade, Prime Minister Jean Chrétien traveled the world representing Canadians in countless international summits and forums. At these events, Canada played different roles, often behind the scenes, but always constructive.

As Canada’s chief representative, Jean Chretien received many gifts from international leaders. These gifts were, in some way, in honor of all Canadians, and thus should be admired by all. This goal is realized at the MUSEUM OF THE PRIME MINISTER JEAN CHRETIEN, Canada in the world.

The museum is structured around four themes: peace and security, international trade, diplomacy and international development. It invites visitors to connect to the material through exclusive interviews, interactive platforms and educational panels. This innovative space incorporates the historic fabric of Canada’s role in the international scene throughout Jean Chretien’s time as Prime Minister.
